I just found a can of this at O'Reily's Auto parts. Goes on easy for inner-hull protection. It seems to come off easy enough as well.

I just coat everything in wd-40

That works, only WD40 does have a solvant in it. Mineral Spirits. It helps to make things clean and protect from the elements, but if you've painted anything in there it might flake/chip with WD40 depending on the type of paint. I dont think it will harm stock paint. If you've painted engine cases and hulls it might hurt. Its not at all a bad idea to use WD40. WD40 should come off very easy which can be good or bad depending on what you need.

For me, I prefer KY over WD40.

Maxima racing makes a silicone spray. That's what I'm using.

Silicone is great. I use Amsoil silicon spray all the time. It looks like this Fluid Film will hold/last a lot better/longer. Seems Silicon needs to be re-applied all the time. I may make the switch?

I have no extinguisher, my bow #s are on top of my hood where the pole lays, I may need to find my registration, my vest is not USCG approved, and my tether is zip tied (right now). I will correct some of those issues but they will be busy enough with me to not even notice anyone else.

hopefully just respecting the idle zones etc. will be enough to not get hassled. Maybe a quick riders meeting from the locals/regulars will help us not ruin things for them.

DNR is really good there. They hassle us and get loud from time to time but I have never seen them hand out any tickets. Now that I say that, there is a vague memory of Tanner and Conrad getting fined for something last year... Can't remember the details though.
