I see that it came down to combining pleasure and business.

I have a spare primer bulb I keep in my emergency kit if you need it. It's never been used but it's been kicking around for 5 years or so. It's never seen sun so it should be good still.

Rode my ski with oem ignition yesterday. Good to go but man what a difference in power from total loss. Plenty tame for surf now.

... HIGH RIP CURRENT RISK IN EFFECT FROM 6 AM EST THIS MORNING THROUGH LATE TONIGHT...
THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN JACKSONVILLE HAS ISSUED A HIGH RIP CURRENT RISK... WHICH IS IN EFFECT FROM 6 AM EST THIS MORNING THROUGH LATE TONIGHT.
* TIMING... STRONG NORTHEAST WINDS TODAY WILL ENHANCE THE RIP CURRENT RISK IN THE SURF ZONE.
* IMPACTS... BREAKERS IN THE SURF ZONE WILL BUILD INTO THE 4 TO 6 FEET RANGE. MINOR BEACH EROSION WILL BE POSSIBLE DURING THE HIGH TIDE CYCLE AROUND MID-DAY WITH TIDAL DEPARTURES AROUND ONE HALF FOOT ABOVE NORMAL BUT SHOULD REMAIN JUST BELOW MINOR COASTAL FLOODING LEVELS.
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
THERE IS A HIGH RISK OF RIP CURRENTS.
RIP CURRENTS ARE POWERFUL CHANNELS OF WATER FLOWING QUICKLY AWAY FROM SHORE... WHICH OCCUR MOST OFTEN AT LOW SPOTS OR BREAKS IN THE SANDBAR AND IN THE VICINITY OF STRUCTURES SUCH AS GROINS... JETTIES AND PIERS. HEED THE ADVICE OF LIFEGUARDS AND THE BEACH PATROL. PAY ATTENTION TO FLAGS AND POSTED SIGNS.
IF YOU BECOME CAUGHT IN A RIP CURRENT... DO NOT PANIC. REMAIN CALM AND BEGIN TO SWIM PARALLEL TO SHORE. ONCE YOU ARE AWAY FROM THE FORCE OF THE RIP CURRENT... BEGIN TO SWIM BACK TO THE BEACH. DO NOT ATTEMPT TO SWIM DIRECTLY AGAINST A RIP CURRENT. EVEN A STRONG SWIMMER CAN BECOME EXHAUSTED QUICKLY

Packing tonight. Waking up at 3am, leaving by like 3:30. I'm an early bird who usually wakes at 5:00am so its no big deal for me. I'm driving solo. GPS says 5.5 hours so... 9:30-10am

You cant even get on the beach until high tide goes back... And make sure someone else is down there before you put the ski in the waves, especially if its your first time in surf.
