I'd pull it is as tight as possible. Does that design allow for some adjustment?

With this design there is no adjustment. I have a few friends locally that are planning to get one and I've already redesigned it so the ski is 1-2" further back. The bunks are also an inch wider for a perfect fit.

Sweeet, now I know what to do with my extra roll-cage HREW tubing!!

I'm going to make a tube one with the ends bent down, and rails on both sides, so you just strap it down front and rear off the eye holes and call it good.

I'm not going to set it up for towing behind because I think that's asking for a problem, and if I'm towing someone can help me put it in the bed anyway.

I'll draw something up, and take pics of my buildup and then if anyone wnats them and if I have time I could fab some up :)

Have one of those hauler's, since 94, Guy that made them called em "Tailgreaters", Look in some of the old Jet ski rags. Couple of the old timers from Pwc Today may remember my ski hanging off the back of my Ranger.
You need a Class three hitch, Mine has been through the ditches of Lake Cumberland on high speed late night runs, ski intact, hitch check, alloy wheels on 4 wheeler, not so good, Hauler held up like a champ!
I'll get pics up, Used to have pics up back in the day at PWC. Today.

I am from the UK and I have to say that I have never seen any of these over here. However, I have a Mitsi Animal and I want to use one of there carriers. So my first question is; How do you guys get your skis on and off the carrier? Man-handle with a friend? Secondly, The square slot that you slide these things into on your vehicals, are they something that you have made or do you have to buy these?

If you build one go all out and make it just for a ski. No tiedowns just a bow pin and your off. My ski has been thousands of miles hanging on that rack. Never a problem.

HAHAHA!

I have that same rig going . except my SU is a 550 and my Polaris couch is a suped up 750.

it works like a charm

You don't have to man handle it. From storage cart to rack and rack to water can be done by one person.

yep, I do mine myself. I have bunk buddies on my hauler. and use a modified scissor stand with wheels for a shop cart.
