They do! Hope he’s done growing but he has a lot of skin still to grow into.OMGosh, they grow so fast.
Dude, I am so sorry. But 20 years...that is awesome and amazing that you and he had that much quality time together. I'm jealous. My best boy passed at just over 10 years old. Such a rip off. I wish you and your fuzzy buddy Peace.Dog will be 20 in August. He has gone downhill fast the last couple months so made the apt today to put him down. Still not sure how to explain to kids that I'm taking him to be killed.
That pup has had a great life. Explain to them that you did not want him to suffer any longer. That what you were doing was out of love. They will be sad but kids are smarter than we give them credit for. Had to put our 18 year old Aussie/Healer mix down 2 summers ago. It was not as hard as previous 2 dogs, one was 6 years old, other was about 15 (She had kidney failure that came one pretty quick). Spocho just lived a great long life, she was not in pain, but could not walk barely any longer. I was at peace with her. We lost a 1 year old Kitten/Cat a month ago, she gave a good fight, That one still hurts, house feels empty..........Dog will be 20 in August.
