I agree and disagree. Sure it might not be a speed demon. But i certainly do not in any way regret that i bought a 550. It would of been nice to buy a sj at the beginning. But i would not be nearly as mechanically inclined nor would i have a lot of experience with fiberglass as i do now because i bought the thing abused and had to rebuild it from the ground up. Plus, Once you can ride a 550 like a pro, you can ride anything. With my experience with this machine, I can help out some of my friends who have superjets and dont know whats wrong. Start from the bottom and work your way up is how i look at itGood answer! 12 years ago when I was looking for my first standup, I wish I was able to start on a superjet. Skip the Kawis and go straight to an older square nose would've been so much better than dicking around with 550s.
