I had one on my chan. It fit good sounded good and the price was right. I prefer a stock box on a sj though.

I have one in my Matrix and agree with ISOLDOUT, it fits good, sounds good and was a decent price.

What I like about them is their shape. Being round, you can manipulate the feet so they fit in hulls with tons of rocker and still have the inlet and outlet line up to the hoses.

My ski sounded fast...

I didn't like the fit in a RN hull. Ended up with cut feet, padding, and a bpipe chamber rubbing the hull. when I changed motors I went to a stocker. Mine is for sale.

I have a question for people who have bought different box's

I hear fit, sound, price.
But no one has done any testing to stock or other box's out there and give a reasonable performance test.

How many of you would throw performance aside for noise or cost??

From my understand a box won't creat more power like a pipe but if it is too restrictive it can hinder performance.

I had jetting issues with a stock waterbox bpipe setup with my TPE 964. Swapping the waterbox to a ATP cleaned it right up and made fine tuning easier. LOUDER yes but not offensive. FP1 hull good fit.

You are correct, that's why we base our decision on details like fit, noise and cost. :)

How many snowmobile "cans" when tested actually performed better than the stocker? The only thing they normally improved was your risk of starting avalanches, lol.

Really...We have and I'm sure others have too. Vid taken during testing ATP waterbox. https://www.facebook.com/Air-Time-Products-380194018706753/videos

There no video of back to back testing, no data to show AFR with both boxes. To make sure jetting was same condition for both tests.
The motor on the dyno was so lean or over porter it wouldn't come on the pipe and the exhaust was so hot I blew a hose.

Don't be fooled there is huge power to be lost in water boxes.
To much back pressure and it will run good on top. Not enough and it won't have any mid and top.
To small and it will be a jetting nightmare.
And will cause engine to flood with water on laydown style pipe

Because like you most people don't put it on the internet, show me your videos...As for not coming on the pipe you are wrong and in fact as the title says the exhaust came off because a jubilee clip was left loose. Tim, I have/had a lot of respect for you but don't assume you are the ONLY person that knows anything, I've had over 25 years in this sport (without a break) and the guy who owns that particular dyno way more than me with thousands of dyno runs and speed records under his belt. Bottom line is our waterbox does work on the dyno and in the water period.

And while I think about it the OP was asking for an ATP Waterbox review, do you have one? or are you just commenting to make your own parts look good?

Yeah there is a dyno post some place else with your internet engine builders can talk numbers. I think I'm going with the ATP because it sounds like it's fits nice and won't piss the neighbors off

It will piss the neighbors off if you dry it out too much.

I added more water to mine to quiet it down but it took away some bottom end. They clear out faster than a stock waterbox so you pick up some good bottom hit.

What year boat do you have, there is a difference between to 2008 and the earlier water boxes.
I run the stock water box modified as its cheaper works just as well.
The good thing about aftermarket water boxes is they have dropped the price of the stock water box alot

They can deal with it if it gets in the way of power.
