Is the carbon chamber a Wamilton thing?
Ask Crammit 442 he had one.
On the flip side they also absorb the heat better and do not radiate it into the engine compartment as bad.Carbon would absorb more and not have good sonic resonance.
there is no way a carbon chamber will have any benefit if anything a loss. 2-stroke exhaust is all about reflection of high frequency sound waves, just look at any publications on 2-stroke theory. and carbon composite dampens this resonance (this is why they make road bike frames/forks out of carbon composite...for the weight as well). Plus who can feel 3 hp.
carbon chambers are an easy way to make a quick buck by pulling a mold off a b-pipe chamber. I have never read any legitimate science behind them.
wammer is a good guy but I'm calling a bull card on this one.
now a stainless chamber would be something to write about.
Yeah you are right carbon fiber sucks,I wouldn't have any of that nasty stuff on my ski.If you really think its an easy way to make a quick buck then you obviously have no clue what is involved in making one.
whoa easy, Im not saying carbon sucks, its an amazing material, hell my ski has it everywhere. Im just saying from a scientific perspective that it dosen't make sense. people like wammer are geniuses with carbon fibre, may not be easy for most people, but its definitely easier than designing a brand new chamber for him. I just think that its a bad application. when someone has some real proof you can say "I told you so" and rub it in my face.
