Yup you are right. There is no water jacket as per what tim tyan said to do. When he was working at factory pipe they were making more power with the non water jacketed. Ijsba rules say it has to have a water jacket so they put one in

But there is still water routing to cylinder, right? Just the opening that went higher into the manifold is deleted as far as I can tell.

Yes. It’s still water cooling into the engine. There is more cooling passage into than motor than any manifold out there. Just the manifold is not water cooled
