I just saw a facebook post where somebody was putting an o-ring in the manifold to header joint of a b pipe. I felt dumb that I hadn't thought of that and suggested it here.

So, I'm suggesting it here. No more manifold gaskets would be pretty sweet.

If it was possible (I'm not sure if it is) on the manifold to cylinder gasket that would be great too, but I feel like taking the header joint would be much lower hanging fruit.

Yeah that's a cool Idea we could have done that i suppose on our one. I do wonder when you start boring them out to be bigger if you would break into the 0-ring groove

Can someone please post a link or size for the thread inserts/ time serts needed to reduce the exhaust manifold bolt size on a raider cylinder?

On installation the bottom internal threads of the insert are cold rolled to expand the mating external threads into the base material locking the insert in place. Then screw the insert onto the prepared hole.

that is correct. m8x1.25. Also only screw them in flush; Not all the way to the bottom.

Do the time certs fit in the stock hole? I know the helicoils do, literally no modifying of the casting needed at all, just thread in an m8-1.25 heli-coil.

Good point! I was thinking heli-coils. I haven't tried a time cert.
