just finished up the console. i added a marine temp gauge (plumbed inline with the pisser), a couple of accent lights, a choke (stock throttle lever under the wheel) and a REAL throttle controller. :woot:

...and an engine shot too....

Good job Charlie, That BW looks top notch now!! I bet that thing is fun to go out and ride around in too.
Bring it to Daytona, couches arent allowed but nothing has been said about boats.

thanks mick. it really gets up and goes now. no comparison to what it was before. itll probably have to miss daytona this year. i didnt put footholds in it yet.

run it as a finger throttle like on the carts. mounted to the steering wheel

thats how they come in stock form. it comes with WRIII bars and stock finger throttle or a rectangular steering wheel with stock finger throttle.... both of which are highly gay.

heres a stocker pic... and a night shot from my angle..... i need more LEDs!:Eyecrazy:

here you go, the ones with stalks are pretty cool. pick which ones you want and i will check our old displays for what free demo stuff i have for ya.

wow! cool!

im wanting to illuminate the switch cluster and throttle / start/stop area on either side of the wheel. the tristart ball will mount right on the bezel under the wheel and point right at them. do you have 2 of the S0803-200R? if not, 2 of the S0803-2000?

thanks!

its right around 35ish. the engine is spinning the concord that impros made for the stock-piped, single carb-ed 701 that was in there when it was a waterlogged 1200 lbs.

i need to send it back to him for adjusting for the more powerful and higher revving engine in a non-cracked, non-waterlogged hull. its pretty crazy out of the hole, though. also, im going to replace the 7' - 8' 1/4" main feed from the tanks, to the carbs, with 5/16" or 3/8" fuel line, as its a long way for a lot of fuel to travel which id think could kill some top speed.

that looks awesome. what a keys cruiser or flamingo boat. all the flats boats will be jealous of that thing. you can probably get in shallower than they can.

i can defintely get in shallower spots than they can. i can idle in about 10" -12" of water. far less when planed off too.

I bought a SS wheel here at the sailers exhance off a whaler for one of my fishin' boatst...

but I cant get the old teleflex wheel to come off...its a biznitch for sure

oh, and it needs a suicide knob for sure as well

ooh! suicide knob.... good idea!

my original bars were a biznitch to remove, but i greased the taper before installing the teleflex wheel, so now it comes of REALLY easy.

yesterday, i did a couple of things to the whaler....

i ditched the single 1/4" fuel line running from the tank a/b valve as well as the 1/4" TEE at the carbs and ran a 3/8" feed that splits off into 2 1/4" lines, to each filter then to each carb. i did this because it was starving for fuel at high RPMs after a minute or so.

i also labeled my switch cluster..... the red LED above the "panel lights" switch is connected to my overheat sensor on the head. it will light up instead of killing my RPMs.
