Anyone on here have any information on me as far as pump alignment goes on these things?
when the pump is bolted to the pump shoe I’m pretty decently out of whack. Could attempt to make some sort of small shims for the thru bolts but seems kinda like I’ll be redoing the shoe so that it actually serves its purpose of eliminating pump shimming

The alignment of the shoe is pretty dead on in my hull, just needed to tweak it with the nozzle a little bit, and some rtv in the shoe when I snug it together, and had to grind he holes for the rear mounts in the nozzle to fit it

See In my mind is not grasping how the rear reduc bolts would have much impact at all when there’s 4 thru pump bolts that mate the pump flush to the shoe but I can’t say I’ve tried it. In my mind I can only see any severe tension (without spacers) on those bolts causing the weaker parts of the reduc nozzle to flex. I could see maybe leaving the thru bolts loose and tweaking the ear bolts first then snugging the Thru hull but I’d have a hard time believing that will stay tight and true…

Something will always flex a little, the way i did it i think will work just fine, but yes the shoe needs to be pretty damn true from beginning

When I bolted my pump to the shoe it was almost perfectly lined up so I shimmed the back mounts to fit and called it a day. Sucks to hear that your shoe is not well aligned.

Welp I have about 1mm off the rear mounts and the holes ovaled to the point I’m comfortable with and it’s still significantly too tall. Sooooo I am going to shoot a email to rhass and see if they’re still offering custom height mounts, I’d like to get a set of couch style mounts about 5mm shorter than the SJ style mounts so I’d have some room to play with shims.

The day a AM hull is plug and play with a single component I will drop dead from joy

Always love modifying new a/m parts you paid way to much for in the first place!

Not a fan of how I have this tank strapped down atm but it’s close, waiting for eons for my HT blocks to show up so I can throw this pipe and WB in.
