I traced out the hole then drilled it out with the largest bit I had.... About 1"... Then used a carbide rasp on an air rotary to grind it out to the trace line I made. Still had to cut frayed ends of kevlar with a razor. That :):):):)s tough!

Not sure on the latch... I've had mine a few years and I believe I got it from a member here.

I have a tracking # for a cart tank so that should be here Monday. If I don't have a ride plate by next week I'll bolt a piece of plywood on there!!!

I for sure would fab my own ride plate if that's the only hold up. Beautiful ski hornedogg. Looking forward to some action shots and vids.

Pole and intake grate were welded up this morning. Ride plate and hood pins showed up this evening. Hoping to get this thing wet tomorrow!! felt kinda weird drilling through this sick paint.

I've been marking my holes, using a center punch, and drilling pilot holes. Only slipped twice so far!

Trimmed my ride plate up a smidge... Flush with a 2" tail in the middle.

I bolted it on and traced the back edges of the hull on the top side of the plate. Then took the plate off and finished that line across the middle. Then measured 2" back from that and made a new line. I angled the transition from the bottom of the chine to the outer edge of the keel using a pipe wrap to draw strait lines over the contour. Cut it using my oscillating multi tool and it was a breeze. I cut on the outside of my construction lines then sanded it down to a smooth edge.

Thanks! I kinda want to ride mine with the full length plate before I go choppin. I may pony up for a second plate, have a shorty and a longer one.

How much clearancing did you have to do on the steering nozzle for the thrust trim?

I ordered the complete ez-pull thrust trim system last year and it came with everything ready to bolt up. reduction nozzle, steering nozzle, trim ring, lever, cable,...etc.. expensive but it works great..

got it in the water today. no problems.. everthing went perfect. I'm going to spend some time on it tomorrow before I give a report. Takes my head some time to process thoughts but I can say it's way fun and I can't wait to ride it more. I'm going to returf the chin pad.
