Custom/Hybrid Backie Chan build

I picked up my backie chan hull a couple weeks ago. uploadfromtaptalk1365306914233.jpg
When I got it home I sanded the bilge and clear coated it with some airplane clear to help protect it uploadfromtaptalk1365307001884.jpg
I did the same thing to the bottom of the hull, try to get some extra life outa that paint job lol

This weekend I've got the pump in, the stator section had to be flipped 180 degrees to clear the steering cable uploadfromtaptalk1365307129014.jpguploadfromtaptalk1365307142177.jpg
I painted the chamber to match tbe ski uploadfromtaptalk1365307170469.jpg
The pump went in pretty easy, needed some shims the back. The motor lined up nice also. Im going to run the xmetal water box, it fits with a good inch or more around the whole box. It sits kinda crooked but should be just fine

Did a quick mock up with eveeything, waiting on a pole bracket and Steve is painting my pole. Hoping to get that stuff soon ro finish her off. I don't want to mount the waterbox in yet since I need to install the pole and bracket. Going to need all the room I can get!uploadfromtaptalk1365307463524.jpg
Quick run down of what's going in
781 jetmaniac bb
38 blackjack carbs
Msd enhancer
Xscream modded b pipe
144 skat mag pump
Worx 201 extended an inch to fit the hull.
Xmetal adjustable pole
Pretty basic for now, should be decent power in this short light hull

I'm not sure what hull you had before. Assuming an SJ. But my 718 single carb and stock electronics made a huge diff in my bob. I think you'll enjoy.

Intake grate is +2 inches.

Better get a sharp hole saw for your pole breathers, the kevlar is a bitch to get through!

Looking good dude, I'd be over there helping if I wasn't broken, not that you need it.

Actually since you're waiting on your pole and bracket you can come work on mine! LOL!

Yeah I just was grinding the welds on the intake and realized it wasn't one inch lol oops. Ill buy a new hole saw for the pole breathers. Yours just needs to be ridden haha

LOL we're running almost the exact same drive train. What prop?
I still need to get a intake grate.

Good idea about having Steve paint your pole.... Hmmmm

id recommend the ATP torrent forsure. i was going to go with a worx 228 for my gen 3, but then went with the ATP torrent because i was hearing great things about its performance. i picked one up from canadian-freestyle.com it came in 3 days, and man that thing is absolutely beautiful. for being about the same price as the 228, its ADJUSTABLE (pretty sweet) and it adds some nice billet bling to your boat! i havent tested it in the water yet, but i have a pic of it on my build thread and am going to write a review on its preformance as soon as i get the BOB floatin!
