One of THE BIGGEST things that helps with rolls is getting the pole DOWN!
Every year I seem to forget this, and when I remember it again, it changes EVERYTHING!
Once you leave the wake, make the pole hit the stop on the hood, then LEAVE IT THERE!
By putting the pole on the hood, you force your body to get closer to the hull which greatly increases your rotational speed. It's the same thing as when an ice skater pulls her arms in during a spin.
PS
I'll keep complaining to Kawasaki about the weight, but I have a feeling we won't do anything about it. grrrrrrr
That is some of the best advice that I have recieved. My rolls this year were blaaa and I had no technique at all, but I never used a take off wake  I was doing "speed rolls" by pulling the trim to hopp to one side, then put the pole on the hood, pull the trim and crank the bars the opposite way............just doing that I was able to do 3/4 and a couple complete rolls. I was not high off the water but I would rotate really fast :Banane01: I almost blew chunks a couple of times uke: However when you pull the trim like I was doing you lose all your forward momentum so when you land it is just a flat SMACK!! I need to master the take off wake and incorporate that into my throws and sprung monkeys.
