here is my advise for the first timers (this will ruin my fun for the weekend). The hardest part of getting out in the good waves is getting past the shore pound. keep the nose up and don't try to ride over a breaking wave (even though you'll see other people do it easily). Even a 1' tall shore wave has enough power to knock you off the ski. a 2' wake has nothing on a 1' shore wave. This advice goes for people who've ridden inlets but not shore breaks too.

When I first started it would drive me nuts that people could ride out with no probs and I would get killed and rolled on surf pound.

hell i get caught every once in a while when i get tired and a little one foot wave will roll me right over if i ride parralell to the beach.

like you said those little waves are much stronger than you think....

that was my favorite boat... the skulls were great.

That ski was my favorite sqaurnose ever. Perfectly ghetto hardcore

New guys will learn to stay to the sides of the zone pretty quick out there until they are comfortable in the surf
