Whales tale is my second favorite beer. not sure if cisco brewery distributes nationally, but whenever I visit my parents in Nantucket, I grab a case or 2 to bring home.

Been drinkin shiner prickly pear here this summer as well as a lot of southeastern locals like Black Abbey Rose and Starr Hill Love Hefeweizen. Grabbing a couple of beers right after work and before class really made a difference in my attitude in class and helped me relax before my speeches.

I love me some stella. Feels good holding my pinky finger out while drinking it feeling all high and mighty and sh*t. That and it smells like pot, which I also enjoy the crap out of.

Bells two hearted ale is good. Try almost any pale ale. I'm on a citrus ale kick right now.

I am sorry, I drink lots of Bud light with food. Is that wrong? It seems to go well with pizza/Italian and Mexican food so great...

Dont get me wrong, I drink some heavier/thicker "boutique" beers in the winter, but its always so hot here that a light beer is best when trying to get "not to bogged down"..LOL

I really do appreciate this thread. Beer is good food! Except the thing i read the other day about hops having estrogen did not really turn me on, and the fact that in the old days they used hops to help keep the public somewhat more "under control and milder" because of the hops/estrogen is, well I dont know what to say there...
I know hops are more easily available and there are other things that can be used instead of hops(cant remember from show i watched). Maybe someone can enlighten me.

Anyways great thread! I do love beer.

Hey man, everybody I know RAVES about the "BLUE VAN" beer from Mudshark brewery here in Havasu. Gonna have to try it and that. Except I wont buy it in cans, I hate cans! :D
ok there must be some confusion... The BIG BLUE VAN is made by College street brewery (HAVASU) , Mudshark has good craft beers as well ... but ya cans pretty much SUCK ..... GOOD TO HEAR FROM A LOCAL HAVASUER!!! my quote " I LIVE WHERE YOU COME TO VACATION... JEALOUS YET?"

If your a beer fan you should get the app untappd. It is amazing for finding beers. It's a social media app that stores the beer you drink and allows you to search what beers are available near you. You get trophies like tried 5 different ipas and compete with your freinds. Definitely worth a look for any serious beer drinker.

I just want the entire world to get off the IPA kick. Jesus Christ you go to a bar or brewery or pub and 95% of the offerings are freakin' IPAs. How about a nice amber ale for God's sake?!?

Millennials ruin everything.

I couldn't agree more. Every bar in NYC is a rustic setting with old crappy furniture from antique shops. 99% of the beers are IPA's with the names chalked in on a big board over the bar. You can't get a name brand beer and you receive weird looks if you ask for an amber ale. The food is weird, small, and expensive bites. Even the barber shops started turning into these trendy rustic settings. Luckily it seems to be only a phase because I noticed a few places have remodeled and went to graffiti art like alec monopoly. Hopefully the beer menus are fixed soon.

EDIT: If you look at the link I posted on #358, I laughed at it because the writer lightly touches on this topic "Cusqueña may be a departure from the craft brews I’m used to drinking in New York, but that’s not a bad thing."
