Best Jet-Ski Shoes

The only thing I don’t like about them is the Velcro strap. It comes undone sometimes and really should have been a double Velcro or hook and loop so it couldn’t unstrap. It’s not bad though and you could easily just put a velcro strap around your ankle or something to keep it from opening up. My brother just cut his straps off haha

I've been riding for years in surf conditions only and as @headshock said, the Assics Aggressors have been the best and I did try many models. Lasting over two year of hard riding plus I wear aircast ankle braces within to prevent the ankle roll. I especially like the toe protection and thick sole. They do run 1 size small.

I am curious how thick is the Astral bottom Brapper Doodle doddle doo?

Have broken my leg right above the ankle twice now.. What aircast ankle braces are you using?

These are nice too, dry fast, and have great cleat like grip. Price is decent with a coupon.

Sorry to bring an old post back to life, but I'm thinking of grabbing a pair of wrestling shoes as recommended here.
Do they dry out properly though or will they forever smell when they get wet? lol

I still stand by the Astral shoes in the original post. They are lightweight, they dry quickly and have held up great after years of use. I’m still on my first pair and I bought 2 pair. Super grippy too
These look good, but I was just wondering about the drains. Do they let sand in? (my lake has a lot of sand/shells that tend to get inside my other watershoes that have drains). My neopreme booties don't have the drains but they do a good job of keeping out sharp shells.

They are narrow, but mold to your feet. They are somewhat hard to put on and hard to take off -- you have to loosen the laces. They are very thin and are synthetic and dry out quickly. Once on, you don't even know they are on.

The only thing I don't like about them are: 1. The velcro strap could be stronger. 2. The laces are too long. I may put a barrel on the laces instead of tying them. This should also lessen the extra length of the laces which gets in the way of the velcro adhering.

Due to @brapperdoodle's recommendation, I may try the Astral's next. But for my current style of river riding, the Nike's are fine.

They do get sand inside of them but I’m not sure if it’s the drains or it just gets in around the top
