Just a head's up. Most of the shoes I have stand up jet skied in have had the soles at the toes peel off.

The soles of the Nike wrestling shoes I posted above are glued and STITCHED and after heavy use this Summer, the soles at the toes started to peel back about a 1/4 inch, but the peeling hit the stitching and was stopped.

I then re-glued the 1/4" peeled part of the toes with 3M 5200 Black marine adhesive and they are back to super studly again.

Errr , , , go Trump!

Well thats a big bummer! I was going to order a pair today along with some of their 2 stroke flame arrestors. :(

Under Armour cleats are the only brand that I've found to hold up for many years. I had some other brand grenade on me. The sole came off. Wrestling shoes just aren't sticky enough but I've had a lot of asics last for years too. Need to be the 1 piece rubber sole tho. Not the 2 piece

I have been wearing an Eddie Bauer water sandal from Sam's. I really like them. They are a good general purpose shoe but might not be as good for those inverting. They can rub the ankle after many hours of being wet, but work excellent with a wet suit sock if you are spending all day wet. The sock I had had a rubber padding on the bottom, so I took the insert out of the shoe, and it worked great. That Jetpilot shoe looks nice, but they have only select sizes. The sams shoe at $25 is hard to beat.

This is the shoe I got from sams.

I like the shoe by itself when it's dry but when it's wet, after several hours, it can rub down the skin. I took the insert out of the shoe and used a wetsuit sock with a padded bottom.

These are the wet suit socks I used.

I wore these this weekend for a few rides at Daytona and I was very happy with the combo.

I do not invert or anything so these may not be a good option for people trying to stay in holds, but for casual surf riding and buoys, they are very affordable, wear pretty well and are fairly durable, at least for the price.
