Freestyle Best lithium battery for total loss?

Location

Looking for the best battery for total loss.
Probably going to get the antigravity 16 cell (480cca and 16ah). But would it be worth the extra money to get the 24 cell (720cca and 22ah)? Or the 20cell (600cca and 18ah)? any other options or opinions on the subject? Thanks

If you call Zack at PHP he can get you a battery that will withstand freestyle abuse.

Also I’d talk to your friend Jaci, sounds like she is getting free food maybe she can trick him into a battery.

I will give that a shot!
I will have to figure out how to edit that picture

Go for the one with best warranty.
I had a anti crappity crap out after 3 rides. I guess most of them are made with china cells.
And do yourself the favour and never leave the Lithium battery in the ski un attended :)
What engine are you running?
Ive been running a battery identical to WPS featherweight with 5AH (and i think 290CCA) 1kg. It lasted a good day on my TPE 900 engine with MSD TL

1107Et. Why not leave a lithium battery unattended?

Yeah it properly is 99% of the time :) if you feel comfortable leaving a china build lithium battery in a high dollar ski, just do it :) Im just not doing it :) Its a 20sek job to pull my battery, and its a stupid place.

I pull mine based on your experience.. charge pulled too, think you suggested that as well..... thank you :)

What puzzles me is I then leave in my bench, it's steel, but if it fails it potentially burns my house down :(
Guess that's what my insurance is for lol

I guess now my next question is why would you take the chance of running a lithium battery? Like harbor Said put it in your house to start on fire? Or put it in your garage to start a fire? Any good lead acid batteries out there?

You got lithium batteries in 70% of your electronic devices :)
Im just not leaving my lithium battery IN my ski. We can not get insurance on jetskis in Denmark, so if my jetski burns down due to a poopty battery. Im 25K out and no ski ;(

Couple of things regardless of which lithium battery u choose....

small list of advise

- get the right charger
- never leave in ski , charge outside of ski , take outside of ski for any transport
- prior to using seal poles with silicone around base
- prior to using seal battery box seams with electrical tape
- have your electrical system properly grounded, remember carbon will be a conductor ( carbon hull )
- if u mount open msd plate to hull insulate between plate and hull
- Store battery when not used free standing on concrete in garage or outside secured bin

We had one burn up our last ski .......

Although lithium batteries aren't quite as stable as most would like yet, but, with that said they've made massive leaps with li-ion and li-po in the past 8 years.
I can confidently say that (IMHO) that ~75% of the lithium batteries that fail in skis or other applications boil down to common sense. With those batteries comes different rules, you can't just throw it on an unapproved charger and you can't just store it willynilly in the shed or garage ( unless you live in paradise where it's always a perfect 77 degrees or so)

READ THE CARE INSTRUCTIONS and educate yourself when you buy lithium batteries and buy from a reputable place, eBay isn't that place.
If you think it's too expensive than obviously you're not ready for a lithium battery lol.
