Best Possible Engine?

I would say you could go a little farther with the lamey but your 4mil stroke is hard to beat. I would put it up against any stock stroked lamey and even alot of stroked ones. Speaking of that I'm on my way over to get some druel on it right now.

I really want to ride one of those boats. I hear good things about that set up. But then again you are comparing a 4mm stroked motor to a stock stroke motor. Just keep in mind that you are maximizing that 61x cylinder set up where the lamey is pumping out that power no problem and there is only room for improvement. But it does come at a cost. You will spend about anouther $800 more for a ported lamey set up than it costs to do the 4mm stroker 61x motor.

the sad thing is no one is ever happy
if you build an engine to do something soon you will be used to it

so if you start with a lamey at least you will know that there is always more to be had over and above what a 61x can deliever
you can get a 61x to go hard very hard
you can get a lamey to go harder

Most people you talk to will say if budget wasnt an issue they would go with a lamey
assuming they want to stick with 62t cases

Lamey cylinders were developed for closed course racing for big power at higher Rpms and strokers in the Mod class racing and were sold as R&D dominator cylinders. It takes some work to get them to work for freestyle power down low, That's the reason why a stroker crank (more cc's to pump) make lameys work a lot better to pick up the airspeed through the transfers to have that instant hit off the bottom end. This is why big bore 61X cylinders work good as you sleeve up then you pick up the transfer speed for a killer hit off the bottom. Once you buy a billet stroker crank the cost to rebuild one is cheaper that rebuilding a stock 701/760 crankshaft as you don't have to buy the 2 crank webs...

Thats what I was saying. The lamey has more room to go but I have ridden a bunch of peoples Lameys that are not that great. With the Jetworks motor you are getting a reputable builder building everything to work in conjunction with all new parts machining and porting of the cases and cylinders and including a $350 head. Its going to be hard to find that from anybody for only $800 more.2nd natures stroker is based off the 760 cylinder which cost a little more to do than the 61x but it puts him around 803cc. Also keep in mind that for $150 a carb you can send him your mikuni and get the blackjack mod done to them jetted perfect for your setup. So for $2500 you get the motor and some really nice carbs already jetted:biggthumpup: . I'm not saying that this is the ultimate motor motor for ultimate power but your going to be hard pressed to get that much power for anywhere near that price. Natures ski will probably be in Daytona and I'm sure he would let you ride it. I'm trying to get one done before next year:fingersx: So hopefully there will be a few at the next Lanier ride.

I'm sure that those people probably didn't have thier boats tuned properly. My standard stroke NP lamey runs on a single 48mm carb and just an enhanser and it ********ing rips!:hail: Also, Chucky put a little love in the intake manifold too!! thanks Chucky for giving Whitney some love! :woot:
