When I was thinking about the long rod setup in the beginning and gathering opinions I got a lot of the "won't have that low end punch with a long rod"

Got an info or links to people talking about why the rod length would affect power output?

No I talked to a few tuners/engine builders. I may have read it somewhere online and maybe even in one of holeshots threads. But no body seems to confirm it, all just seems to be here say. And I can tell you my ski jumps out of the water just fine and keeps pulling through the power band. I agree with holeshot that the port timing is more important and tends to be the one pice of information that builders hold secret.

rod length has so many effects you really have to list them all out to even have a decent conversation about the subject. I could buy my cranks for a lot less $$ if I went stock rod length. But I get you guys much better results with my custom crank and rod combo. It's my job to get you results not hype. I couldn't stay in business if I sold hype.
