Any reason why its ill advised? Does the big pin crank not fit in the small pin crankcase or?

Thanks

A large crank will not fit inside a small case. Cylinder selection does not matter, the only difference is port height. Always make sure to verify clearance between the sleeve and crank wheel. Some early cylinders sleeves will contact a large pin crank.

Ok I'm up to speed now.

So your thoughts on the following...

If having the choice, which cylinder should you use on a big pin set up? I can either use a small pin or big pin cylinder running with a big pin head and crankcase and dual keihins..

Should I just stick to the complete big pin setup or would there be an advantage to using the small pin cylinder with big pin crankcase/crank, head and dual keihins?

Thanks Nate
