The whole point of waveriding is turning around on the wave when it's breaking. Having to negotiate a wake right before your setting up to drop off a relatively steep section is very difficult. You cant just ride strait down a wave likethat u have to preload the ski so u unweight over the steep section. When he should have been setting up for the drop he was having to ride over his wake

looks to me by pic 5 stans wake is no where to be seen.... sucks that it happened, I wasn't there so I have no idea what happened, but it doesn't make sense for one to ride back into a wave the size of a house that's cresting, indeed the other guy wiped out, but going back into it only to wipe out your self doesn't make sense at all. I don't see where stan did anything wrong.

has anyone ever just full throttled it up the face of a wave cresting like that and aired out?
