I'll check that out. I just thought it was weird that on was full speed and off was half speed. Thx for your help. You could just have corrosion shorting out between connectors but those CPI switches are also prone to water penetration thru the wire insulation. Eventually they soak thru enough that they short out the switch. I had one dog me for months draining my battery down between every ride until it finally got to the point that I could hear the pump running.
The switch and immediate length of wire seemed okay but the extra length that they spliced on to extend the switch was where the problem was. If this is the case, you should be able to splice a new chunk on.

My bilge was doing the EXACT SAME THING! Went riding, came home heard the bilge. Thought it was weird, went to click it the other direction and it just doubled in speed.
Mines less than a year old and have been using it in the salt water 3-4 times a week for the last month. I've got the handlebar switch one from Blowsion (hot products) probably like yourself.
I've been looking into getting OCD's Switch. Very nice and seems like a 1 time purchase. poop, I wish I got it from the beginning when I knew what I was doing.
+1, order from OCD Solutions, and you won't have any issues with your setup.
Thanks for the response! Is the military toggle just as good as far as the grade goes other then the additional coating for salt corrosion? I'd like to get a switch that I don't have to screw with every season. ThX!If you ride freshwater then the standard military toggle will work just fine but if you ride any amount of salt water then I strongly recommend the "Surf Armor" switch for years of trouble free service.
i've had a bar mount switch go out on me, didn't realize it until the battery was dead the next day (shoot me)
things happen. OCD switch is nice but i prefer the switch at the bars, for ease of use. I don't run the bilge the whole time i ride, only flick it on when needed and shut it off when it's done.
OCD/Boyer is a good guy. I run a couple of his bilge wiring harnesses on my skis. (boyer still haven't pulled that single kit off to swap with you)
he does great work, and if i ever go to a dash switch, i'll probably use his, but at this point i'm sticking with the bar mount.
can't go wrong with his products.
what type of pole do you have?
could either zip tie it to the bars (ugly) or drill a hole on the underside of the pole and have it on the bottom there. most of that would be personal preference than anything.
