Billet Head

I have to agree that we all seem to want new innovative products but no change at the same time.
I do like all my skis having the same plug but you have to admit that when you start talking performance parts you do sacrifice convenience for that extra performance. Even the new motorcycles have specific and expensive plugs and I have spares of those in my riding gear bag just like I have a box of BR8ES's in the door of my truck.
If you are that worried then keep a couple spares in your tow vehicle and if you are worried about $40 in sparkplugs then you shouldn't be messing with performance parts in the first place.

I'd say go for performance domes, if it makes a noticeable difference, more expensive plugs are worth it, imo.

Or if you can design it, that allows you to run standard or performance domes, so people can choose what they want.

If I were you scrap making them to work with ADA. ADA is a good product and at a fair price.... you will never hear the end that its a copy or a part of a copy.

You are good at what you do.... so use that and bring out a BETTER part.......if it is better it will sell, if its priced fair it will sell even more.

just my 2 cents.

ADA does this so everyone can buy 35’s and say the run pump gas on 180psi or so. LOL

They don’t want everyone calling with melted or damage parts. Almost all racers of the day (98-03) did not use ADA off the shelf head/domes

It seams ADA really has things handled for that part of the market so there is no reason to reinvent the wheel there. Make your own head with your own domes and solve the plug issue properly. Not sure why someone would buy your shell just to put ADA domes in it when ADA heads are readily available. $20 plugs are a big no for me.

Its not a case of them wanting to buy ada domes its a case of me being able to sell my domes to ada owners.
There is not enough of a market to make heads with no compatibility now a days.

Yeah I understand what you are saying. its hard to make stuff look different than most other heads out there as the same basic structure has to be kept.

Never knew there was issues with domes on ADA. New to me. Let me climb under my rock.
Not so much issues. They do what they are made to do just fine. Combustion chamber shape design has long since moved on from what they are offering now. PLus the added bonus of a decent programable ignition you can write a curve to run with your combustion chamber shape

Would you be able to do dual br8es plugs and make it work?
To further expand on this question, you are now taking the ignition point away from the centre of the chamber which is the very thing i am trying to make better. twin plugs are great for planes where you cant swim them in, Snow mobiles where you cant afford to be stuck out and eaten by a bear, or where your ignition system is unreliable and you need to be able to switch to a completely different ignition system to keep the ski going
