on a serious note-is what I was trying to say was-if Art says they work great on his manifold and his reeds-then that is what I would do-if I could not afford the whole set up at 1 time-I would wait until I could instead of having spent a bunch of money on a combo that might not work as well. Really didnt mean to be a smart azz.

Yes. Amuse yourself at my whimsicalness. I'm 21.

How old are you? I would like to settle a bet that I have.

The day you can spend 90% - 110% of your weekly income on a cast aluminum manifold, I will gladly enjoy humoring you.. As for me. I do things cheap. :flowers1:

36 years old and also a cheap azz. I can understand the income thing-thats why I wondered your age-There aren't too many 21 year olds makin 60k per year. As for the 'effect' of BlackJacks-I really don't know chit about em other than what I felt Sunday made me about chit myself-they were freegin awesome!!! (keep in mind-it takes a complete combination of a lot of things gone right for that to happen). Thats why I let Paul do my COMPLETE setup as Charles let Art do the same for him-tho-it ain't cheap goin that route.

What is special about having Team Scream order them for you? I could be wrong, but I don't think Team Scream actually changes anything on the carbs except for the jetting and what not. From what I understand, the stock 46 is a good carb from the shelf.

Chuckie modifies them a bit past jetting. ;)

ive never run blackjacks, but ive heard theyre great all around carbs - as long as youre running duals. they dont work worth a poop if running a single.... is what i heard.... and this came from a guy (that i didnt even really know) who was selling only one blackjack carb....

You need to browse through the classifieds a bit more.
I saw one just yesterday for $120 shipped.

The last time I saw one for over 200, it was a Dominator for $210 shipped, which was a very very good deal on one of the very best manifolds out there.

I can't speak to anyone else's experience, but my intro to BlackJacks was with a single 44 on a Kawasaki 650 motor in a 550 hull. I didn't really have any unusual problems. I was pretty scared of the prospect of tuning duals for a long time and ran singles up until a few years ago.

Edit: It worked well enough to spank bigkahuna's SX-R.:lmao:

That is the one thing I love about it..... There is nothing that turns / carves as good as an SXR........

To think 2 days ago I was ready to sell it...... now thinking about putting a pipe on it....... It is paid for, not costing anything.

That's actually true and it was not really a fair fight. Yours was still stock plus FA's and mine was a race gas ported 650 in a little bitty 550 hull. You can blame the selling it on Tricky. He just had to let me ride his boats.:mischievous: It's all been downhill since then.

are black jacks the same idea as greens racing carbs. i have been using one on 61x cases and now i am upgrading to 62t cases with dual 44's. but may be i should get another GSR 46mm? MMMM

Yes, same annular discharge design, probably more refined, but same concept. Green's carbs were awesome back in the day.

Anybody think that dual 46mm Blackjacks would be good on a .5 over 760 62t cylinder engine with a b pipe and an ada head with as high of compression as 93 octane will allow?

I am thinking of buying them, and I will if the responses seem like they will work.
