I had dual 46 blackjacks on a ported 61x Topend. 83mm stock 62t cases Ada head b pipe stock pump with 12/17 big hub swirl nozzle bored to 85 and it ran great in my SJ

I run one of arts, blackjack 44 on my 718 jetmaniac/blue motor. It runs well and is crispy. I wish I would have gone with a 46 for just that little extra, but my motor runs great as is so I will leave it for now. Art is very smart with carb building, tuning and advice and always returns phone calls which is great!.

Can someone explain the differences between blackjacks, buckshots, and novis? Are they just different companies, or do they do different modifications?
There are likely some internal differences but the main difference is the fuel delivery into the throat of the carb. The Blackjacks use many holes around the inside of the bore, no protruding atomizer, the buckshot uses a single spigot atomizer and the novis use a bombsite style atomizer.

Oh nice thanks for the response! It seems a lot of the pros use novis is there an advantage to the bombsight style? Better fuel delivery for larger engines etc?

According to Art, the reason he cuts the carb in half after the "bomb sight" is that he then, drills tiny holes around the body, which then becomes the spray pattern for fuel. This apparently helps fuel continue to flow even when a little water ingestion occurs. The carbs, have different internal circuits than a OEM 44 as well. Better than other designs, or not? I am not sure but I know the blackjack makes my motor run much better than the stock 44 did. just my two cents.

I can't seem to find any pictures down the throat of the ATP carbs.

Everyone likes one a little more than the other an stay loyal to it, all arguments usually include three names, novi, fullspec and blackjack. Buy a wetjet intake mani and any of the aboved named carbs in a 46mm and you will have a hard to beat setup for 61x cases

Yeah is the main thing with the wetjet intake the 46mm carb setup and the reed stuffers? Would it really be worth the money and provide a noticeable difference over the OEM

Wet jet intakes are setup for 46mm carb and has built in reed stuffers, you just have open your mounting holes a tad to get a sbn carb body to fit but they kick ass for the 61x

I know this will get heads rollin, get rid of that b pipe and find a type4 or better yet a speedwerx, b pipes are great and dont need much maintenance but will never make power like a well tuned dry pipe
