I like to ride with a rope mounted to the center of my tray that I have to hold on to with one hand, that's what holds me down

Nice pics. I love the suf riding pics WAY Better than the flippin pics. Some serious skill involved in making it look easy to minipulate a constantly changing ride surface.
The straps work well for those who are used to surfing and or skateboarding but take some serious getting used to for those of us who do not ride surf stance IE the less fortunate inland suckers.
as far so me suggesting people get out of the footholds its just that, a suggestion...ive ridden both ways and like i said before i was lucky enough to learn to ride from some of the best surfriders in the world and when they told me to set my ski up a certain way i did and it made my learning curve much shorter...
unfortunately most people in the jetski world and especially this webste have delusions of grandeur and think they are professionals because they can do a backflip and they dont listen to any suggestions from people that may know something they dont whether they learned it themselves or from someone who learned it the hard way dialing in their setup over the years...the only reason i feel motivated to suggest things to people is the fact that i dont want to see the "sport" continue its downward spiral twards backflip obsession where actual ski handling falls by the wayside.....
A lot less drama there than here , and not nearly as many pricks on that sait as there are here, being small has its advantages, just saying lol
lol its funny you come out of the woodwork every couple months to imply that about me...
I hear ya bro..pretty much right on.I love watching alot of the west coast guys rip surf. Most east coasters are just never exposed to that kinda riding,if we had more w side exposure here I think it would be much diff. ummmm but Zack rips hard and is pushing the progression of the sport with every kinda variable of every trick out there with some perty nasty surf riding to boot... We can all live without seeing him hit the most hollow part of the wave. Some call you a elitist,I see it as more of a purest... until you start talking about a surfboard being better...then u lost me......lol
It's all about you, really, it is.
What's ironic is I feel the same as you, but you don't see me on here telling people they suck because they ride in footholds. I prefer riding waves over jumping waves, always have. I learned to ride on a stock 440 with aluminum impeller, barefoot, in surf. I rode 4-5 times/week in surf in Hawaii on a limited 550 with no lifters or anything. However, I can appreciate people getting out there and doing their own thing, whether it's rolls, reentries, flips, waveriding, racing, creek riding, whatever.
In my book, elitist means someone who thinks their way is the only way. I don't feel that way, but based on what I see you post, that's my opinion of you.
Looks like October 28th to me, you can't see all the posts made there, you are not a member, bottom line, it is what it is, it was never designed nor did I want it to be the constant headache that this place is, there's not a day that has gone by that I say (damn I should have never started the site), I know you only wish you could say the same. None of my day is wasted banning people or giving out infractions.Yeah, last post was when, like 6 days ago on October 24th?

I did not get the benefit of signing up people at the biggest freeride in the USA as they were walking through the door at the hotel, maybe I should when I go down to Daytona this year.

It's not just about hitting the wave in the most critical spot it's about being able to use every kind of section and doing the appropriate move for what the wave is offering not just doing a "slash" in the easiest safest spot everytime not to mention linking up multiple moves on each wave..
If u consider yourself one of the best u should be able to ride like guys did 20years ago on 550s or 50yr old men are doing now on bone stock squares..I used to just give zack or ZB I should say a hard time to try to give him some motivation to push his surf riding but now it's mostly just for fun..if you refer to yourself in the 3rd person u deserve it haha
Everybody in jet skiing kisses each others ass so much nobody has any motivation to really elevate their surf riding when u see a pic of a guy with his ass stuck out in the air and his elbows down by his knees and everybody goes ssssiiiiiiikkkkkkk BRO..somebody has to keep these guys in check..
LOL. Terry, if that was the case, When Darin sold his ski, he could have easily just walked away from the site............
theres so much fail in this post, its not even funny anymore
lol it really is fun giving each other a hard time.
ive never 3rd personed myself.......... come on cabron, you know im not like that.
bottom line, you gets tastes of what i do. you dont ride with me. you dont know what im out here doing. i ride EVERY DAY. this is my life. this is my job. you see me twice a year. im out having fun, progressing, pushing the sport. your on the internet "saving the sport" that you wrote off last year.
if your having fun in holds, straps, wedges, ropes tied to you nuts, it doesnt matter. im always giving props. i go that route and give my 2 cents of advice and move on. i did a freeride clinic in grayland helping guys, not banging my chest on how they ride being a dick. give people props and they will listen. walking around like your holy'r then thou ting on everyone cuz you ride a certain way isnt going to help anything. I ride, you ride, we all ride.
and with that, im off to pack for the Final Round of the IFWA Tour. the biggest event of my life right now. the only american there. trying to push the sport. going for a world title. aka, im doing stuff.
seacrest out.

You can either do things the right way or the wrong way..doesn't matter to me
when the majority of people do it wrong nobody knows the difference..and that just brings down the "sport"
I have nothing against doing flips and rolls. Personally I'd rather not waste the wave but I think it looks good when they are big and stylish..not a fan of all the hands and feet off stuff..looks like ballet to me..
Dude, get off your high horse. There is no right way or wrong way. There is no rule book on how you ride a effin Jetski. Surf Stance, Both Feet Back in footholds, Goofy Footed............. There is no wrong way. ride on the front of the wave, behind the wave, on top of the wave, under the wave, in no waves (That is called Flat Water)........ You can even put some Orange and Yellow Balls out in the waves (That would be called Surf Racing)....... There is no wrong way............. What ever happened to guys going out and just having fun. One Guy likes riding the waves, another likes to jump the waves (Hands and Feet attached to the ski is optional, or any combo of eather). There is no wrong way (Well, if the area is off limits to jetskiiers) Then that would be the wrong way................ Oh yeah, Riding with no thing on would the "The Wrong Way", unless beach was deserted and you had your Girl with you or guy if your a Queer.................. Boys and Girls please repeat after me...... "There is no wrong way".
