Picked this thing up for $1000. Pulled the motor out and am swapping in a full 62t motor out of a waveraider.

That looks like pipe for a Kawasaki 650 or 750. You could probably make it work but it definitely won’t line up with the stock waterbox.

Thanks guys! I'm trading it for a blaster mod pipe, as long as the guy doesn't back out. Otherwise I'll make it work because I am using a waveraider waterbox in the rear anyways.

I have not seen the Kawasaki 750 mod chamber in person, but from the photos it looks smaller than the blaster mod pipe for sure.

It most definitely is smaller. I was wondering if would still allow the gases to expand and 'clean' out the cylinder the same way the standard mod pipe does. I would imagine it does, but I'm dont know a whole lot about expansion chamber geometry and performance. I do think there would be better flow as the outlet isn't on the bottom of the snail part. But again, I'm not sure.

If modifying the bracket and the exhaust is all that needs to be done and it would still perform well, then so be it. Otherwise I'd like some more low end hit and I'll just trade.

I would get the right pipe.

Those pipes are specifically tuned for each application, it will "work" if you can plumb it up right, but you wont get what you would if it was in a Kawi or you had the right pipe.

Started by cutting the front out and removed the plate that holds the water box and gas tank down.

One of the previous owners must have painted the hull inside a few times as the paint was thick. The sanding is slow but I'm getting there.

Nice work! And BTW, I see you have a Steiner in the background of one of the pics.............those things are great! I have a Steiner 425 and 420, both Kubota diesel powered and I love them.

My grandfather has two of them as well. He claims he can mow the lawn in 5-6ft strips at 15mph. I think he has his eyes on another even haha.
