(bling warning!) New Mag Pump for my FX-1

Found this on my door step when I got home from Daytona.......

Dave at Impros tooled me up a 650 Kawi pump with an 800 SXR Mag core. It's set up with a 9/17 Skat swirl and the Mag core is set back 1".

Now I just have to figure out which ski I want to put it in???? Let's see, heads it's "Franky", tails it's "Bad Fish"......

Can't wait to see how this thing pulls!!

Wow that is awesome. Was it more or less than the blowsion pump upgrade? Either way I'm sure it will outperform the blowsion pump.

Your really going to like it. I have a 6 & 12 vane set back kawi conversion pumps.
They hook up like no other. Enjoy

I've had a lot of folks asking the inevitable question.......How much??

Mine was $975, but Dave from Impros just informed me that Skat raised the price on the core and it will now be $1100. That's based on you sending them a good clean 650 pump and what you get back is the pump with the Mag core, new shaft, bearings, seals and prop of your choice. I also had the pump liner replaced while it was there and that's a couple more bux.

Dave also said he would work a deal on a multi-pump (at least 3) basis, so if you get some buddies together and send 3 at a time he said he could probably do it for $900 each.

I love my mags

Wifes ski has that pump and it made a HUGE difference over my old worn 650 pumps with bandaid coneswaps.......

My 880 stroker x2 also has the 750 version and it hooks and books.

You have to WORK to unhook it..... vs the stock pump which you have to work to hook it.

You may need to lengthen and reshape the pump inlet to get the best hookup at low speed.

They weld aluminum plate to the entire outer rear portion of the pump housing to beef it up. If not, when they bore it out for the mag core it would be paper thin. Looks like they weld all the plating on and then bore it and stuff the mag core in. The workmanship is very good.

I was quoted $1750 (I believe, have to dig it up) for:

-Superjet Mag 144MM
-Setback
-Longer Drive Shaft
-Impeller/pitch of choice

Brand spankin' new.

I would LOVE to find a better deal though - this is why I am holding out.

I ran it in my limited last leason with a 14/19. This year it will go in my surf boat with a 9/17 and the limited gets a 12vane setback with a 14/19 long nose/
