The only time that I have broke a stud is when the cap just seized up on it and it snapped with me trying to get it off. I agree with the above that you should be running a girdle kit especially with how you beat on your ski.

Found some more issues today while test driving...the linkage between the carbs is loose...one of the couplers had the little allen bolt fall out holding it on the shaft. The flaps aren't always opening at the same time. Pulled carbs today for full carb inspection.

Fixed and fixed. Ski FINALLY runs like a raped ape. Stoked. I think the loose linkage caused the vibration which caused the snapped studs which cause the lean condition which caused the piston melt down.

btw...this also fixed my difficult to start issue...... really stoked to ride.
