I had some on my old ski and they didnt hold up to the beating of me holding on when I fall. they ended up pulling of pretty quick while riding.
I have been using ODI locking grips since then and have never once had an issue. I put them through a lot more to.

Are you running thicker bars? I have stock. I never noticed the odi's being very thick, they seem to fit well. But ya, the safty wire is how I do all my dirt bike grips. works great on them I have just never done it on the ski since I really like my odi's

Sure, BMX will fit, but you'll probably have to cut the big flange off to clear your throttle. I'd lmao if I saw some old oakley grips (with finger indentations) on a ski.

I just wasn't sure about the quality differences. you.can buy lock grips for bmx. i.just think there's more options with bmx grips.

Very few grips are marketed solely toward PWC's. ODI and many more have bigger followings in bikes. I like my Clarks lock ons, and have some other brands, too.

I thought MTB ODI's and most other lockon type grips used regular non-SS hardware? So look to wanting to change those parts out.

I ran some lock-on mtb grips on my ski for a while, I liked the clamping mechanism better than ODI's because the grips didn't have slop in them. The grips weren't big enough for my large hands and they didn't have stainless hardware. You can get cheapo bike grips for about $6 shipped now.

My buddy has runs Totally Vertical Awesome-O Tony Hawk Freestyle POS Walmart Schwinn grips on his X2. They're starting to look kinda worn 3 years later. Not bad for a last minute stop on the way out to the surf.
