Custom/Hybrid bob hull reinforcing

I Kevlar Inforced my flat water bob so tha I could take it In surf.....even tho I never did.

Not sure if this qualifies but I had to add quite a bit to the nose of my gen 2 after it started to separate where the top and bottom come together. Definitely a weak spot on my hull so I would look at yours closely.

G1, G2, G3 or hurricane?

For a G3 I would re-enforce around the nose and handle pole area for sure, I would also recommend the bilge area too

Same here. Mine seperated. Reinforce that nose!!!

I am considering reinforcing mine but am turned off by the though of sanding through all that bilge coating.

well mines cracked after 4 weeks , not very happy !

Which hull is it? If it's a gen 2 then it's older than 4 weeks old.

normal layup , new only ridden 6 times ,crack is in lip where hood sits on, middle of engine bay approx 1 inch long , only ridden in flat and 2 -2.5ft waves with barrel rolls attempts , surely an purpose built hull can handle a few inverted stabs etc ??

If it's new, I would contact DK and send pictures. See what he thinks. Don't go all negative post happy just yet. It sucks and should t have cracked, but DK may help you out.

yes they have been good up to now , but now am too scared to ride it in case it splits to bottom half

Same thing happened to me, this is what I did to fix it, one single strip over the crack so the hood would still seal and two layers of Kevlar to the whole inside of the engine bay. I have flipped and flopped over and over and that crack has never moved.
