I would go with a 1100 fully auto with a 1 1/8" outlet from jetworks! Why not!?

I and a few others have been running them for years!!

Dead switches on everyones skis over the last 20 years made me go auto.....no brainer.

It shoots out water fast! Larger footprint (oval) but it fits no problem.

500's suck! They get air locked...and they need lame expensive switches that don't last.

Personally not a fan of the auto, I want to know it is working for sure, switch lets me pay attention when i turn it on, or leave it on usually for the day. I have never had an issue with my 500's personally, have run 3 over the years, all of which are still running strong. As for the switch, if you pony up the cash the handlepole mounted ones usually last me 5+ years.

To each their own though!

probably keep it on the lake for now. maybe hit essex or ipswich river once I feel comfortable you think a 3/2 with 5mm booties would work in the lake this time of year?
We run dry suits when it is cold - and then wet suits - one it warms up - ocean is way colder than the lakes. Should be good riding after the storm over the next month. If you want to hook up for a shakedown run on the ocean PM me or peterlocal22 - we ride together. NEVER ride alone on ocean unless your high risk type.

I ran an auto on my SXR when I was first ocean riding - the first big storm I learned why the guys run Superjets and Rickters etc. My SRX swamped on a massive wave and as it rolled away with the surf and the auto bilge was not able to handle it. First ever tow for the SXR. We run the Rule pumps with a switch - I have a light so I can see if it is on or not. I run it all the time once we get in the waves. I like that the smaller pumps can clip in and out of the basket mount. I have changed quite a few on the SJs I had.

For the surf you want a limiting rope so you pole does not get blown off and probably some foot straps of your not going to put holds in.

I can't imagine slicing into this thing to add holds wtf
