Just want to clarify my friend just spoke with the head lifeguard at brig and he said this. Just a rumor that I heard. View attachment 259875
Just got this in email:
Mark DiDario canceled the event "3rd Annual Brigantine Beach Bash".
Thanks,
The Facebook Team
Whether intentional or not these messages are really cryptic.
What does it mean they have taken over? Do they intend to put on an event? Has insurance been secured? Is their any kind of plan?
There are literally hundreds of people whose plans hinge on what's going on. These messages and posts are not the least bit helpful.
Take the time to compose a message that has some detail and shows respect for the people who have wasted their time and money on something that may/may not happen. If I were coordinating an event I think I would have a bit more respect for my fellow riders and the effect this has on their schedules and wallets.
To simply blame the city seems like a cop out. Someone dropped the ball, I'm hesitant to believe this can be hung on the City's shoulders.

Mark just deleted the Facebook event because he is no longer in charge of it. Event isn't officially canceled
