Chuck, would the free public ramp in Ventnor be a good option for some of the guys too? I know the lot there is pretty big, but I'm not sure of the on water distance to the cove. I've done it a couple of times, and it's not too bad of a ride.

Hey derrick! I'm not to sure on the Ventnor ramp. Do you happen to remember close to how long it took you and how much fuel you burned? One issue is Def the brig boat ramp parking lot isn't that big. But spill over can park along the street right there.

I think the Absecon ramp would be closer on water. Even by car it's probably closer. There's a lot of no wake zones coming from the Ventnor ramp. Also there is a boat ramp at the old Bader field airport in Atlantic City that would be a better choice than Ventnor. Let's just iron out the details today and see where it goes. Hopefully with a little luck we will have answers for everyone by 4pm today.

Guys are coming no matter what so let's try and keep it alive until we have a definite no. If the event does go on its the most convenient option for everyone. My last time at the Ventnor ramp, about 3 weeks ago, I was on an 82mph RXP, so it literally took me a few minutes to get to the cove, and not much gas, lol! I'm sure it wouldn't be too bad on my FX-1, and yes, there is 1 or 2 no wake zones to go through. I'm not familiar with the Absecon or Bader field ramps as I haven't been there. One more thing to consider, the Atlantic City in water boat show is happening this weekend too. Do you think that would have any adverse effect on anyone riding? Maybe a larger than usual Marine Police presence or something?

Sam I'm in the dark my self along with everyone else. There are steps the city has to go through to make something like this happen and without being there all day every day I only know what's being relayed to me through email and phone calls.

My ski is all shined up and ready to go. I'll be heading down from NH after work friday night if its a go. This is an awesome event I would hate to miss. Had a blast last year.

All kidding aside this does really suck balls however, its awesome that you and JD (any others) that are willing to take the time out to try and get this licoriceery organized. We are still coming from Canada and look forward to seeing you all.


Dj, use to have a ride in Cleveland and we had to ride our skis for what seemed like forever to get to the ride stop. All coolers and other stuff was left behind and it worked. I believe that a plan Bfor all of use that are still going can make anything happen just cus we wanna! Thanks for keeping us update and I still cross my fingers that the decision makers will see the value of this event. Given that it is organized and prompted correctly. I also believe (knowing you both) that it is in the best hands possible. SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO.........haven said that. See you bitches there

If Brigantine does not come through, are there other places where you can park or setup on the beach? I'm bringing my wife and 2 children as I always do and want them to enjoy the weekend on the beach as well.
