I've hung out with alot of the people posting in this thread....
But I feel like I dont know anyone.
I have an LPW 760 motor that I'm very happy with and it is very reliable. Only issues I've had with it is a dead battery and a starter problem at lanier 2 years ago. If anyone wants to take it for a ride to see the performance of it they are more than welcome to. This isnt a post to stick up for Paul, he doesnt need me to do that. Just stating my experience.
I've also hung out at Full Throttle. Mark is a cool guy and I have a good time when I go there. I havent had any work done by him, not because of any reason other than not needing any work done except for a 24/7 scupper flap that he warrantied for me.
I know there are issues between lots of people, but thats not my business. I talk to who I want, ride with who I want, and hang out with who I want. Seems like everyone would get along a little better if everyone did that. After all it wasnt that long ago at all when we were all drinking beers at Petes and hanging out.

It says a lot that people weren't comfortable?/able?/willing? to post about their experiences with a builder until now. I'm curious why some of you guys are waiting until now to say something? Is it a fear of standing alone? I don't get it.
It seems like you'd want to do all us other riders out there a favor by warning us about bad experiences. What purpose does it serve to speak up now?

Paul is one of the site founders/owners, so I think people were/are nervous about posting negative comments on the boards not knowing what the reaction would be. If there's any good in all of this, I think it's that the posts are allowed to stand, good and bad. It's encouraging to see it being treated as an open forum, with everyone on equal footing for the most part.

I'm concerned about the dyno, If its certain that the dyno doesnt exist, It will damage Pauls credibility to me. I would like to know for sure before passing personal judgement.

No that hasn't changed, but now the site's administrative reaction is not an unknown. I've never done business with Paul, so I don't have any personal feedback either way. I can tell you that if I DID have negative feedback, I would have been reluctant to post it here not knowing what the consequences would be. Now that a few people have done it and they aren't getting banned, I'd be more likely to post it than before.
Yes Pete needs to lay off the personal attacks, but I don't fault him for bringing this stuff to light. For the Riders By the Riders is how this site got started when things were bad at PWC Today, and that's the way it should be.

dont guess any of these blown motors could be rider caused. when you build them so extreme, how long should they last? ive personally rode some skis with lpw power and they ran great. sure if you were to hold them wide open for very long, a piston would be spit out the exhaust. my.02
