Calling out LPW (aka Pete's Rant)

Some crew came through trying to blend in (after the fact I figured out one of them) wearing shades and hats and asking to use peoples bathrooms and chit. They cased what they wanted and robbed what they could.

It was none of us riders.

Pretty impressive making 125 HP at 3500 RPM now that I think about it. That's like just above a high idle, and making as much HP as a decent superstock at full tilt. His engines kill RXP's...........

JAM

man i have to call bs on this one

i am not going give all my dyno numbers but i will say my full superstock miller stage 5 785 made a whopping 96.5 hp @6500 rpm on a very high dollar dyno.

funny, my ski runs pretty well with the lamey blasters with half the hp.

go figure.

you won't see any real high hp numbers on a dyno until the engine gets into the 7,000 range. they are really peaky.

if a lamey yamaha twin can make 125 hp @3500 rpm i am going to yank the 785 out of the hx and put in a lamey.

geez ,no wonder i keep coming up short at the first turn

whoever gave those numbers is misinformed...........TRUE 160 hp pwc engines are not easy to make.

Also interesting that there are never any torque figures shown. Since HP is derived from torque you'd think you'd see those numbers too.:scratchchin:

Like I said before Pete. That's his option, he's a partial owner here. He does reach into his pocket to help fund this site for advertisment for LPW. Not because he likes it. Your issues with him are very, very clear. Nothing good will ever come from this, other then some reading entertainment for bored folks like myself and that's sad.

If I was Paul I wouldn't allow someone to demean me and my business on my own board. I would have banned you and any ip address you were linked to from the first post. I would have came on here and explained to the rest of the members that I (Paul) pay for this site, left the thread open (in case the rest of the people with blown motors show up with valid posts). I'm sure he has read every post over the last 3 days and if it was me, I would feel like it was 3 of the worst days of my life. Either that or I would just pull out from the site all together.

Im not sticking up for Paul, I just think without others showing up like you said they were, it's gotten real old. You have enough people asking about the lack of a dyno and others with engine probs will post if they want to. I just think with other top riders and you getting into a pissing match isn't what this is about. .02

I havent talked to anyone about this subject because it is way out of my business, but I dont think the company slander is what would upset me at this point. I think it would be having a friend of many years publicly attack me instead of doing it personally. I'm sure most of the businesses in this sport get VERY litttle work from these sites. Most of the work is most likely coming from local people with broken down seadoos and stuff.

This is all just my opinion though and not meant to be malicious or attacking in ANY way.

true .........by the way mine made 77.3 ft pounds of torque @ 6500

the funniest part how about 20.5 hp @ 5010 rpm.

ps .my motor is not weak by any means,i just wanted to show what true dyno numbers would look like.

truthfully.i have met paul and pete and both seem like great guys with a passion for the sport, i hope this ends well.

let truth prevail.

How bout when Ronnymac made a poster for me
I'm ashamed I did that favor for you.
In my defense....... At the time, I thought you were a good/nice guy.

I am worried about my stuff getting messed up from the groupies...
I thought you were quitting? Was that another lie?
You said you were quitting after Robbie painted his ski blue too. Stop lying to us Pete!
Perhaps this is all your initiation for full throttle? We'll know for sure if you show up to Daytona on a full throttle ski.
If this happens, ya'll can start calling me Nostradamus. LOL!!!

No that hasn't changed, but now the site's administrative reaction is not an unknown. I've never done business with Paul, so I don't have any personal feedback either way. I can tell you that if I DID have negative feedback, I would have been reluctant to post it here not knowing what the consequences would be. Now that a few people have done it and they aren't getting banned, I'd be more likely to post it than before.

Yes Pete needs to lay off the personal attacks, but I don't fault him for bringing this stuff to light. For the Riders By the Riders is how this site got started when things were bad at PWC Today, and that's the way it should be.

I totally get the whole backlash from the buddies thing that happens, but if it's done "right" (ie: Kaveman's post about his experience - No bashing, no trashing, just the facts.) nobody can argue with you... well, they can, but they look like the fool, not you.

I would think it's more of a fear of getting blackballed from a community than it is a fear of getting banned. Sad

i ride a Full Throttle ski, can i come to Daytona?

my Full Throttle initiation involved lots of Yeagermister, a dog cage a arse whoppin from a couple of english fellows. but no LPW bashing????? if this is his initiation, then Petes getting off easy!

hey guiness, since being on the boards since about 2000 there is one thing that is a constant, It is so easy to "Call Someone Out" on the internet, you do not have to look them in the eye.....

As with what Guiness wrote:"This is all just my opinion though and not meant to be malicious or attacking in ANY way"

If you plot those numbers on a chart they are a perfect straight line. Kinda funny that there is no curve at all in that

I had a full throttle motor but I can't get a hold of him now so I think I will be riding a stocker ....seadoo GTI

plot what numbers?.........mine?

i can assure you they are very accurate.

the point i'm trying to make is at 3500 rpm there is NO way he is making 135 hp.

the line doesn't look perfectly straight on the sheet i'm looking at.

ANT

Just ride
This whole thing looks like a Jersey click vs Paul thing.

I can just see you and the other guys sitting around Marks shop pounding beers thinking up ways to get Paul. LOL:scratchchin:

There is not one thing in this whole thread that bothered me and I was going to stay out of it, but Ronny that really agravates me! Don't make generalizations because now, to me, you made yourself sound just as bad as everything else in this thread. We all have fun riden up here in Jersey and I can garuntee you that we all have better things to do up here like ride or talk about riden than to brew up things to bash people with. Also just an FYI I have seen these things described with the motors happen first hand; and everybody please do note that I am not backing any party here but rather doing one simple thing and that is stating FACTS and before someone makes an accusation that I am anti LPW I have had one of his port jobs on my ski for the past two years until it blew up this past weekend not due to a cylinder problem. Let it be known at this point that I am nuetral at this point, but I will stand behind what is right. Also let me restate that anybody who is going to make a generalization about a "Jersey clique", people that I ride with up here, or what we do, that you are false and can go to hell!!
