Captain Peg's Garage build!

So it's not a ski, but one of the reasons I sold it. Once this is done, it's time to start on a new ski build! But I had plans to build a garage at my new house for over a year now. I saved enough money to pour the concrete a while ago, but finally am starting construction! Get ready for a cool build thread!

Step one: diamond cut/polish the concrete inside the building. I had it poured with charcoal dye, so it should look killer once polished. It is not a sealer, it just gets finer and finer until it shines. Floor guys should be done by Sunday night, with walls starting to go up Monday.

Match the house ! Sounds like you are building one ! ....... I'm green with shop envy.......

Shane, I miss small yards and small houses ........

Damn dude, nice epoxy floor!!! I have a general idea what that costs, and you have a whole lot of it lol.. looks great! Are you worried about keeping it looking glossy/streak-free?

Epoxy, That is all polished!!!!!!!!!!!!!!Robby, Spend the money, Have them put plywood down to protect that finish during construction............. See it all to often on job sites, Polish to soon and too much traffic equal a trashed floor. Looks good.

Yes, it's not epoxy. That's just the actual concrete. It's just diamond cut until it shines!

Harrison, the builder is a personal friend of mine, and he knows how I like my stuff. He is putting all the protectant down. I didn't want to have a dull ring around the outside edge, So I had it grinder before the walls went up. And then the floor guy is gonna come polish it when done. It's not even polished yet... that was just the final grit.

Careful what you wish for! My concrete guy went to extra lengths on my house and garage slab and had them nearly that shiny with a power trowel. He said it's rare that he hits the timing like that so we just went for it.

Clean up was awesome but long story short, I had to acid edge walk ways into the garage floor and the treads on the stairs into the basement. Even the lightest dusting on them and they were deadly!

Now I epoxy and add traction.
Yep. I did a garage for a client that wanted partial flake. Never again.
He slipped and hurt his arm and his daughter slipped and almost broke her leg.
I went back over there with a 100 sanding screen and my floor buffer.

He was a lawyer too!
