Captain's New Boat

Starting to get some parts trickled in here and there... So I am going to start the thread. Everything is going to built from scratch, as I do not have a donor boat like I always have had in the past.

I've always "thrown" builds together in a few days or weeks to either make a ride date, or get to the weekend ect.... But im taking my time on this one and making sure all parts, and assembly is 100% perfect. Estimated completion will prob be late February.

Build Specs:

Full visual carbon V2 Aquabot
RRP Billet lightweight pole
TPE 1035 4mil stroke
TNT V2 freeride pipe
dual 49 full spectrum carbs
boyseen intake
155 Mag Pump
155 thrust trim
61x electronics with Zero flywheel and MSD enhancer

First thing I got was my ebox, starter, and a few other nick nacks from 550klunker. He is my buddy and lives right up the street, and his parts are super clean of anyone on here is thinking about buying some stuff from him.

Sent the flywheel to zero and in less than 4 days it was back with fantastic results!!

Have you decided what brand 155 mag pump you are getting ?

Phil Clemmons is setting up the pump for me... he is the man when it comes to pumps and tuning anything in general. Thrust billet with a skat stator.

Why so many good parts and an enhancer for ignition?

Still not down for the headache of the total loss setup man... Im doing a thrust 4.5 tank so I don't have to worry about a cart tank in the waves anymore. I kept getting nervous about fuel at hugenot when it was such a long ride to and from the waves. Plus, I sent the 61x CDI to ocd solutions to get rid of the rev limit and to keep in the trailer as a spare. Also, 61x wheels end up lighter than a 62t even after drilling the faces on them, and I will have a back up stator (or 2) for under 100 bucks because everyone dumps on 61x electrics.

I guess that makes sense, but you are leaving a lot on the table. Tl when setup correctly is problem free for the most part, but definitely run whatever you are comfortable with.

You are going to ride this mostly surf ? Some boatwake ? I went with the same 4.5 tank and Skat 155 stator recently, seems like good choices.

Yeah, just our Jacksonville surf trips and chasing boats on Allatoona and Lanier. That's the only reason I went carbon instead of glass was I wanted it lighter for the lake where we don't have waves all the time.

any idea what the weight diff is from the glass to cabon? im wanting to buy a v2 fs... just can't decide on glass or carbon..

I told him I wanted to go as light as he could and keep everything still as strong, and that he would be comfortable with... Basically not a flatwater paperweight, but I didn't want a 95lb carbon hull either. He said around 65 lbs with standard footholds. <- that was straight from tony's email he sent me.
