Yes if you prep it well.

That would be silly to do.
Just wet sand and buff it a bit if it's starting to oxidze... Meguiers and 3m make a good oxidation compound that you just use a buffer with. It will shine it up fast, plus it has a built in wax for protection. Wells for around $10 at Wal-mart. You only really need to wet sand if its really oxidized bad.
Ignore the above comment,I would never scuff with 220 grit to put clear on,more like 400 grit at the roughest 600 would actually suffice,if you do feel it necessary to scuff with 220 prepare to spray a lot of damn clear to cover up the sanding scratches.

I was just looking at this on US Composites site. It looks like you can just mix in metal flake and then apply this to get what your after.
What is the method of application for something like this roll? brush?

I really want to know why it would take forever to 400 grit the top of a ski?
I also want to know how you are 220 grit one with a DA without totally screwing it up the finish, half the surfaces can't be gotten to with a DA to start with.
Unless DA +jet ski =dumb azz then it all makes sense.
I think wedoseadoo and Superjet-113 should have a clearcoat showdown. :Banane57:
