Coffman's Rocket Pipe Install Instructions

Quinc I did order the Kawasaki grommets and plastic washers for the chamber that I still need to install I will be drilling them out to accept the M10 fasteners. My chamber bracket broke on our last ride of the season so I am having 2 made up so I have a spare. My issues is the spacers (washers) on the case bolt this I assume is critical to not apply pressure to the rest of the mounting bracket. The M10 case bolt was wasted and I will need to chase the case threads to clean them up. If I do not get this corrected I will have ditch this pipe as it is tearing up the case. I really like how the pipe performs I just need to get it mounted correctly. When I picked up the ski the bracket was there but not mounted at all to the case or cylinder.

Sounds about right. I had that front case bolt break off into the cases... Thing that seems to have helped the most after replacing the bushings is the hump coupler. Really absorbs the vibration of the pipe. Also haven't had any of the bolts come lose since installing it.

Nice! I stripped my pipe down this weekend for some winter maintenance and everything on it is perfect. Bolts where are all still tight etc.

Cool,

I had these made out of tooling steel so they will never break. I had one extra made up so that will ensure the first one will never break and it can be in the tool box as a conversation piece. Going to pull the motor so we can fit up the pipe with the new Kawasaki bushings and make sure everything is lined up and correct. Then all will be well.

Hump coupler? Do you mean between the head pipe and the chamber?

Yes.

Also have you tried running the pipe at different temps? I have been playing with mine lately and running with no restriction it is only around 140F. I am going to try and get her up to 200F and see if there is any change in performance.

A bit I have tried two different routing and a restrictor going to the pisser no noticeable difference however I do not think the changes added anymore the 20-30 degrees not much to change the performance that I could tell. Where did you get that coupler?

Any chance you can upload another pic of the cooling lines?

I have a coffman pipe to put on and I'm not too confident in doing so...
just looking to dummie proof the process.

also any tips for installation?

Thanks!!

Check the manual in the first post. Drink a beer before you get started, take your time and make sure everything aligns properly. Use loktite on the four mount bolts and get them as tight as you can.

The tee is optional only if you have two pissers otherwise the line from the top of the chamber to the bottom of the chamber (stinger) can just be one water line with out the tee that is the stock set up.
