Is Cold Fusion making fuel tanks for the Superjets? I saw a couple of their pics from World Finals and they have tanks with their Logo imprinted in the front, one in black, one in white...

Yes it would. If it was just painted black then an idea would be to mask off a strip with tape so you could still see a level.

That convenience would be worth whatever they want to charge alone. Every time I pull my gas tank it becomes the hardest thing I've ever done.

Pull your tank, drain it, allow ALL fumes to disipate-fill with water, use a heat gun on the side that contacts pipe, heat till soft, press it inward making a dent to clear the pipe.
Takes about 1 hour from start to finish for this project.

They are also less expensive than the OEM tank. The only downside is they are going with an "Off White" color instead of a perfect white. Carl said this was advised by the chemist.

They all end up off white within a few weeks anyways. I want a black one but only if they can figure out a way to put a white or clear strip in so you can still see the fuel level.

I'll see if the wife wants to hold a camera tomorrow, for now follow these instructions.

Pull the fuel pickup assembly and hang over the side of the ski, remove return and vent hoses from nipples, insert fingers of left hand into tank opening and pull up while compressing the long exhaust hose flat with your right hand so the tank slips past. Work tank side to side, back and forth while pulling up and back at an angle.

Running a smaller, shorter battery helps but it can still be done with an OEM battery.

The tanks are 1" slimmer than an OEM. Thanks are molded from cross linked polymers make them super tough. Capacity is just slightly less than OEM.

Production version should be done here soon. Still need to do some drop testing on some of the prototype tanks. Plans are to fill them full of water and drop them off the roof. We hope to get some video.

Setup comes with tank and fuel pickup that has 4 NPT ports. The pickup features solid stainless fuel pickup tubes. You can see a pickup sitting next to the black tank in the picture above.

Thanks will comes in off-white, red, and black. There are no plans at the moment to have a "clear strip" to see fuel level. You should still be able to see the fuel level when the sun shines on the red one, but no luck on the black one. Just make sure you fuel up when you go in, and you shouldn't have any problems. haha.

Entire setup will cost $350. Compare this to purchasing a brand new OEM tank and separate Cold-Fusion internal fuel fill for OEM tanks, and you can see the savings.

The tank seen above installed in the Foot Rocket is one of the prototype versions and the black one is near production version. The aluminum just hadn't been anodized at WF. We had some folks begging us to buy them but couldn't due to liability issues of not having the aluminum anodized yet.

Maybe substitute with a less expensive/hazardous liquid like water... On the other hand, fresh waters getting pretty scarce down there in Cali.

It is always a massive pain for me to pull mine (battery and battery tray removed). I've done it with buddies, with my father in law, etc. Always a challenge.

might be the reinforcement makes it a little harder

My OEM tank has a pretty deep notch in it from the seam on my b pipe actually, I could do with the heat up and bend mod described above... might need to try that out.
