I can answer that for you in a couple weeks. I took off my xmetal adjustable plate to try out the cold fusion setup on my RN. I picked up the CF setup cheap, so I figured I'd give it a try, see how it feels to be on a bandwagon.

To me, the xmetal is a superior design because of the bearings, (I don't ride salt, so corrosion isnt much of a concern.) Vs the CF that use the factory type plastic bushings that seem to always have a little play or their too tight. Just my $.02 from the boats I've ridden that have the CF setup vs my Xmetal.

I have the cold fusion plate on mine and really like the simplicity of the design. It provides great throw, alloys you to run the better bars, and a good price.

If your happy with your system, can't you save your self a little money and buy the phat clamp or whatever ti's called from blowsion?

I've heard that it won't work with the adjustable steering

I guess my next question is does anyone else make an adjustable pole that is a little longer than the xmetal? Mine extended all the way out is perfect for doing tricks but I want to be able to adjust it from there so that I can freeride without being hunched over

The Riser bars will help with that. it will make the pole feel a little longer and you won't be hunched over as much.

I bought the cold fusion. I love it, but regret not giving the WDK big dawg steering system a shot. Some reputable guys on here say it's hands down the best system out there. A more expensive investment right off the bat, but you can run any kinda mountain biking bars you want which as significantly less expensive than the RRP or Blowsion Riser bars.

I have the cold fusion steering system with 50 mil risers and straight bars. Didn't know what I'd like so I bought them both... haha

If your hunched over and don't' want to be for free ride, buy the 50 mil. it will help with that. If you don't like them... Sell them and buy straight bars. It's not a huge decision here...

I think your over thinking it. I bought my riser bars for free ride, then I also wanted to do a little amateur racing, so I wanted the straight bars.

Hit up TomSki on here, he's close to you and gave me a SMOKING deal on new 50mm RRP riser bars for a shipped price. Less that what most places list only the bars for.

Why don't you try like a umi steering plate that is stock length. I think most of these plates we are talking about are -1 -2 or more. That will help a little.
