we used slow hardener on it and weve used it on this stuff before and have never had any problems with the foam melting or getting deformed. it does soak up some of the resin as your laying the glass, but you would most likely get that with any foam
and the lines on the hood do not match up, yet.
i plan on raising the hood towards the front so i get a nice smooth transition from the hood to the nose.
also this was just the "rough" layout. once we get the glass laid and i have more definite lines (because on the foam it is nearly impossible to see all the imperfections) ill be able to sand out any high spots and fill in the low spots, as well as get the final shape im looking to get.
im attempting to get the lines on the hood to transition onto the nose kind of like how it does on the roundnose, but as of right now ive been having some issues accomplishing that. but ill just keep working and working on this thing till it looks killer :headbang:
anyways, ill get more progress pictures up tonight most likely. im planning on laying the glass down on the gunwales and laying more layers on the hood and nose.
thanks for all the kind words guys. its really appreciated. :bigok:
