So I installed a brand new b pipe on a otherwise stock 08 sj engine back in february. had the entire engine out of the ski at the time so i had to reassemble the cooling lines.
well i finally put it in the water today. started it up, getting ready to tune it and i notice not water is coming out of the pisser, run it for a little longer and all i can get is a dribble out.
i have only single cooling set up like factory suggests. so inlet from jet pump to bottom of exhaust manifold, from the cylinder head to the top of the head pipe, then out the bottom of the head pipe to the t going to the pisser and stinger. i also have a fcv on the line going to the stinger.
i also noticed a small amount of water building up in the bottom of the engine compartment. not a ton but just something to note since i didnt ride too much and dont see how water could get in from the short ride.
I have the top screw on the pipe open one full turn.
i plan on taking the line off and trying to blow them out but getting the lines off of the bottom of the head pipe and manifold is going to be difficult. i figure it is a clog in the cooling lines but just want to make sure im not doing something wrong here.
the one thing i didnt do when installing the pipe was i didnt rotate the outlet on the bottom of the head pipe so that it pointed towards the back of the ski like the instructions say. that shouldnt be an issue however right?
if anyone has any simple methods for checking for a clogged line let me know.
thanks for the help
