Facebook didn't have any information on how it was discovered to be a fake either. It would be very helpful to point out what to look for and any other detail that will help others identify a fake from the real thing.

Looks like no padding in the tray.
The turf is coming off the rails.
The foot pods don't hook enough at the tips, these are almost flat
Normally have smooth padding/turf @ front of tray going up to hood

Bad turf job or wrong footholds is not a good enough way to distinguish a authentic hull. Rickter should embed a verifiable unique serial number and have a database where owners could check that their hull is a RRP product.

The crazy comes when he names it a Rickter, even if it was morally ok, not the best business model. IDK

I would bet a shot of the engine bay would be a dead giveaway....it would be hard to replicate Rickter Quality.
