I have a backie chan with some mods and wondering what motor i should go with between the 2. Need some opinions. I have heard nothing but great things about the maniac motors. But I havent found alot of info on the 850 cpt motor that nuclear6 makes and i wanted some opinions on both.

My mods are:
stock pump with a hooker prop not sure on pitch yet
total loss
rhass motor mounts and mid shaft
bpipe and not sure what waterbox will work just yet.

ProSouth

kawasakis suck
both still being stock strokes, I wouldn't think theres too much of a difference. i'd get a cheaper one, then get a mag stator section.

I will be running a CPT built Powermouse motor this year. I am hoping to have the ski running by Wavedaze spring but it may not be until May. I will post a ride report once it's broken in.

Haha yea dude you supporting those tpe motors? Maybe you should ask them about what ring clearance they use. That's why they are blowing up. And if you think CPT port jobs are good then maybe you should quit riding. Not trying to get in a fight. If he asks a question I will answer it on my opinion. I'm sorry that I answered him with an honest stand point.

In your honest opinion who has some of the best port jobs? For example, who would be your top 3 and why?

I haven't heard of a single TPE blowing up... You have to post the most bs out of anyone on this site

You have no right to bash these two respected builders...who the hell are you ? Get some help !

Can we get back on topic there's only one other motor other than the powemouse that I saw was around the price I'm looking for other than the maniac motor and that's a networks motor and I know I can't go wrong there.

You can't go wrong with CPT, Jetmaniac or Jetworks. I have nothing but good things to say about Chuck, Chris/Blue, and Art/Jr. Best bet is to talk with a few builders about your budget. To get the most out of each option you will need certain size carbs, proper pipe and ignition to reach full potential.

I had the original Powermouse in my gen 2 BOB and it was an animal! I also know that Chuck at CPT is a great guy and builder as is Chris(Jetmaniac) Any one of the three motors you pick you will not be disappointed with.

My buddy bought a JM 771 last winter from JM and it ran real strong all summer. We were real impressed by the power output.

I can only speak for the JM781. Its a great motor! Chris as you know is an awesome guy to work with. He goes the extra mile and will lend a hand when needed, even if it doesnt directly involve his products. I am very happy with my motor, It has strong power throughout the curve, and in all honest hit harder than a dasa 850 I rode (ofcourse tuning is a big role).

Also the 781 can be upgraded very easily to the new 828 using the php 4mil crank and some custom domes. On that note Jetmaniac/blue are going to be producing these motors for a while and continue upgrading.

Edit: I saw you have added a Poll, I would rather not vote, since I have not ridding the CPT motor it wouldnt be fair.
