Cracked SJ hull on bulkhead line, is this common?

Are these later model hulls cracking forward or aft of the bulkhead?

Does reinforcing the bilge without reinforcing the aft just move the problem from one side of the bulkhead to the other?:bigeyes:

I am just starting to investigate this, but currently it appears to be right down the center of the bulkhead. I would like some else to comment on this one if they have dealt with it before.

maybe the repeated landing hard in the tray is pushing the bulkhead hard on the bottom of the hull and causing the crack?

Has anyone tried to fix something like this before, or will it be fine? It does not go all the way through. Currently it is just a stress crack, but we are wondering if it will get worse if we do not reinforce the hull before winter. Does any one have suggestions on reinforcing the bulkhead?

are you talking aboyut re enforcing the keel or the bulkhead. i don't think adding to the bulkhead will help, the bottom/ keel you can fix no trouble i think

Yes I do mean adding to the bottom/keel.

Brian, I don have any Carbon Fiber or Carbon Kevlar, but I have a whole box of assorted thickness Fiber Glass cloth. Let me know, we can do it up... I still have some US Composites epoxy and hardener left... might need to buy some more. We can pull it all apart and reinforce it at your house... might as well do his footholds and pipe then too. Let me know brah... :biggthumpup:

i just went woth the kickers. I liked brians. We did get turf. and a prop/intake grate/bilge (handlebar switch)/handpolespring/rope/lowering bracket/ and parts to get my FP on. And some silly chinpad cover
