Crackers Weigh In.... 270lb's!

^^^^ Yes, one on each side.

This boat handles so diferent from your typical OEM hull round nose.

I rode a brand new SJ with a ported/limited setup last weekend, and it sucked! and I can tell you that I will never again own a boat that weighs more then 275lbs... and I am primarily a surf rider.

My new project will be under 260lbs, and will have fixed steering..... cant wait for Best trick Daytona 08....... the sport will forever change. :headbang:

Handle poles are soon to be a thing of the past!

Its gona be a new beggining.

never happen....

not saying I dislike the innovation, I'm just saying phisically the fixed steering is not beneficial... it IMO hurts your body a lot more and is much more prone to face plants / injuries...

pole skis have stood the test of time and there is a reason behind it... It's a good design that is very workable

also the pole makes for a much better tool to surfride

I don't see where the fixed steering hurts your body. I think it's easier on your body than a pole. I think I surf ride with mine just fine too but I am new to it.

both of my nose breaks came from flatwater rolls, its a different kind of trick (more speed, less time to brace, and your body is in a bad spot for protecting yourself, I also tend to go nose high which amplifies the slaping force of the ski on to me.) I've landed upside down lots and lots of times with no problems in the surf.

I made a prototype fixed steering hood last season and rode months with it in the waves. Double rolls are easily done with this setup. I was landing them off 4-5 waves with ease. You spin soooo much faster. Fixed steering is sweeeeeeet. Not good for surf riding though. Just flips and MX tricks.
